They made me very welcome as soon as I arrived and the lodge honestly felt 'homely' - nothing was too much trouble and you are always greeted with a warm smile.

I would not hesitate to recommend the Motor Lodge to fellow travellers - as long as there is a room available for my return visits!"

"Fantastically clean accommodation..."

"Stayed for 2 nights over Easter. It was in the ideal location for our purposes and within easy walking distance to the main shopping square, a supermarket just around the corner for provisions.

We had a 1 bedroom unit which I must say is the cleanest unit we have ever stayed in, in either NZ, or around the world. The double glazing assisted in making our nights very quiet.

The couple managing this establishment over the Easter weekend holiday were very friendly but not intrusive, and they were able to inform us of what was on in the area at the time.

Because we ordered only continental breakfasts they delivered it the evenings before so, as they said, we could have an uninterupted sleep in. These breakfast trays consisted of cereal, fruit, yoghurt, juice, toast bread and spreads. The tray also had a jug of milk so we did not use up our milk supplied for our coffee.

A very enjoyable stay at a lovely place. Thank you."

The big screen tellys were such a bonus and the free wi-fi is perfect!

We arrived 5 hours before our check in time, and they were wonderful and manged to get the room ready for us in no time!

Much appreciated after our very long trip from Christchurch!

"Firstly "AWESOME"! B-K's is a tidy/clean environment with people who take pride in their appearance and maintain a hotel that far exceeds any hotel in Palmerston North.

It has been a privilege staying here with a good kiwi breakfast in the mornings!

I would highly recommend this establishment to anyone.
